Ultimate Media Player is a player, not a content service. It provides no films, shows or other media — it plays what you already have, from sources you configure yourself.

1. Your licence

Buying Ultimate Media Player from the App Store grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to this app. Where these terms and Apple's standard agreement differ, Apple's agreement governs.

2. No content is provided

The app ships with no media. Sample titles shown before you connect a source are placeholders with no video attached, and disappear once you add a real source. Everything you play comes from a network share, media server or file that you supplied.

3. Your content and your responsibility

You are responsible for the media you access through the app and for having the right to access it. Do not use Ultimate Media Player to obtain, copy or distribute material you are not entitled to, or in any way that breaks the law where you live. The app includes no mechanism for finding, downloading or sharing media from the internet at large; it connects only to sources you enter yourself.

4. Third-party services and servers

The app can fetch artwork, descriptions and subtitles from third-party services, and can connect to third-party server software such as Jellyfin and Plex. Those services and servers are operated by others under their own terms. Their availability, accuracy and content are outside the developer's control, and any of them may change or stop working at any time.

Ultimate Media Player is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Jellyfin, Plex, TMDB, OMDb, OpenSubtitles or SubDL.

5. Open source components

Ultimate Media Player includes third-party open-source software. The components, their licences and links to the corresponding source are listed in the app under Settings → About & Legal.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Media playback depends on your network, your servers and the format of your files, and cannot be guaranteed for every combination. Nothing here excludes any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Keep your own backups of anything you care about — the app indexes and plays your media, but it is not a backup system.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always lives on this page with its date at the top. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
